Short Bio
Poncha earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure (ETS), Montreal, in December 2026, where his research focused on accelerating blockchain systems using FPGA-based hardware architectures and cryptographic design.
He holds an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Antalya Bilim University (2021) and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (2017). His early work as a Research Assistant spanned IoT, wireless systems, and security-focused research labs.
He is currently an FPGA Engineer at Agile Electromagnetics, specializing in high-performance hardware design and digital systems. He has authored multiple journal and conference publications.
He previously served as Director of Marketing for the IEEE Student Branch in Montreal (2022–2023) and as President of the CAEC at ETS (2023–2025). Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.
